Iowa vs. Indiana PreviewOctober 31st 12:00 ET Line: Iowa – 17 ½ The 8-0 Hawkeyes pulled out another road victory, this time in dramatic fashion as they defeated Michigan State on the last play of the game. QB Ricky Stanzi connected on a short touchdown pass to Marvin McNutt as time expired to gain the victory. The news was not all good as RB Adam Robinson will be out for the season. Fellow freshmen RB Brandon Wegher should get the bulk of the carries. The 4-4 Indiana Hoosiers had a tough loss at Northwester 29-28. The IU offense was solid but the defense couldn’t hold down Northwestern despite forcing 3 interceptions.
Prediction: IU QB Ben Chappell has had a nice season as has RB Darius Willis and WR Tandon Doss but the will face their toughest test of the season when they travel to Iowa City. Despite losing Robinson, Iowa will continue to pound the ball and let Stanzi convert key 3 rd down opportunities. Iowa 34 Indiana 17
