#11 Iowa vs. Wisconsin PreviewOctober 17th 12:00 ET Line: Wisconsin – 2 ½
The Iowa Hawkeyes like to make things interesting. Since their big win at Penn State, the Hawkeyes narrowly escaped with a victory over Arkansas State then a barn burner against Michigan. Despite being 6-0 and ranked #11, the Hawkeyes are underdogs at Wisconsin. The Badgers have had their own excitement on the season. They defeated Fresno State in overtime and won at Minnesota by a field goal. Wisky was dominated last week in Columbus but only on the scoreboard. The Badgers had 22 first downs compared to OSU’s 8 and outgained the Buckeyes 368 to 184. Incredibly, Wisconsin won the time of possesson battle 42:47 to 17:13 and still lost. Costly turnovers, poor special teams play and big penalties resulted in a loss for the Badgers.
Prediction: This game will be the epitome of old school-smash mouth football. Each team likes to run the ball and control the clock. The weather shouldn’t be a factor with an expected high of 48. In one of the toughest places to play in all of college football, the crowd will be the difference. Wisconsin 23 Iowa 20
