Wisconsin Badgers vs Michigan Wolverines Pre Game

The Wisconsin Badgers ride their two game winning streak back to the friendly confines of Camp Randall stadium as they take on the puddle jumping Michigan Wolverines who are riding a fairly good streak of their own. Unfortunately for Michigan, this streak is a losing streak as they have dropped their last three games and four of their last five. And the road does not get any better for Michigan as their last two games are against ranked opponents. First off is the Wisconsin Badgers and after that they finish their year against Ohio State. Michigan could very easily finish the season on a five game losing streak and really have questions about their program management as new head coach Rich Rodriguez had not delivered as they had originally hoped. With all the baggage that Rich Rodriguez carried coming into Michigan, he needed a fresh, solid start and has not found that with this Michigan club.

Wisconsin runs into Michigan at a very good time in the season for the Badgers as they have found a strong niche in their rushing attack and Michigan is slowly falling apart. Diamond in the rough quarterback Tate Forcier, who was the most popular kid on campus after the win over Notre Dame, turned back into coal as Michigan, after a 4-0 start, plummeted to a 5-5 record with a 1-5 record in the Big Ten Conference. With Wisconsin coming in with a two game win streak and a 7-2 record overall this season with a 4-2 Big Ten Conference record this season with only two Big Ten Conference opponents left until their annual trip to Hawaii to finish off their regular season and wait for the call from a bowl sponsor to give them their post season game. Michigan would have to win one of their next two games to become bowl eligible but with the disarray that their team is currently in, it does not look like they will be able to make that cut off record.

Another statistic that is good for Badgers fans is that Michigan is 0-3 this season on the road and the Badgers will have every intention of making them 0-4. Two of the three road losses the Wolverines have given up 30 or more points and they have given up 30 or more points 6 times this year though all of them were not losses. With Ohio State and Iowa battling it out this weekend as well, there will be a definitive Big Ten Conference leader at the end of this week and the Badgers will be paying close attention as the top four teams in the conference are very tightly packed together and any sort of slip up could dramatically shake up the conference standings with three weeks left. But the Badgers need to focus on Michigan for right now and keep their outstanding rushing attack clicking on all cylinders so they can ride that all the way through the rest of the season and into their eventual bowl game. The Badgers will take on Michigan at 12 pm ET on the Big Ten Network.
